    SSRI's and hair loss

Hey Robuk- I was on Zoloft for a year and experienced zero hair loss for the first 9 months. In fact, when I started going off it was when it started (which may be due to stress, I still have no idea). So I personally did not experience this side effect...

    Riding the Rogaine wave.....

Hi Msgluv- I would definitely recommend waxing over Nair. Not that Nair necessarily makes your hair grow back thicker, but waxing lasts longer and it does grow back finer. My sister has facial hair due to PCOS and she waxes her facial fuzz. At first she said it caused some breakouts (but so...

girls experience of guys with shaved/buzzed heads

I would definitely say that the buzz cut would aid your application of minoxidil. When my husband puts it on now, I have no idea. He has to tell me "don't touch my head because there's stuff on it". Totally invisible.

girls experience of guys with shaved/buzzed heads

Hi Youngguy-- I've had some recent experience with this, so maybe I can try to help... My husband has had male pattern baldness since his 20s (he's 30 now)-- his hairline is receding and there's a growing thin spot on the top of his head. Last month he and his buddies decided to buzz their heads as part of...

    Folligen shampoo vs. Folligen conditioner

Bruce, I thought absorbtion would be an issue with anything that is going to help your hairloss... I realize Folligen won't make the hair regrow, but is it not supposed to help with shedding? If so, don't you want it on your scalp? I did not think Folligen was something that just made your hair...

    spray or cram

Yeah, I've been using the spray too. It only looks a tiny bit green at first. Also, if you use it at night, shouldn't matter much.

    Folligen shampoo vs. Folligen conditioner

For all you Folligen users out there: 'm almost done with my first bottle of Folligen conditioner and I was deciding whether to spend my money on more of the conditioner or try the shampoo. Since the shampoo gets rubbed into your scalp more, wouldn't it have a better chance of getting...

    Let's all call Oprah!!!

That is a great idea... I can hardly believe that Oprah has never done a show on hairloss??? She's covered so many other important topics!

    Minoxidil (Rogaine / Regaine)

Maya and Renee- Another thing. I blow dry my hair and THEN apply the products. I find it easier to see where I applied the products if my hair is dry and I can see it getting wet from the minoxidil/folligen.

    Minoxidil (Rogaine / Regaine)

Hi Maya- From the male board, I gathered that Folligen was a superior product to Tricomin (but I don't know this from experience). I used Folligen for about 2 weeks without the minoxidil, when I was still deciding if I wanted to use the minoxidil. Then I started with 5% minoxidil, followed by the...

    I forgot about my hair...

... for a magical 7 days! Hi ladies! I just returned yesterday from my honeymoon cruise in the Caribbean and I have to say that one of the best things was how little I thought of my hair... It was a great, liberating feeling! I even felt like my hair looked better. Now I am back at home and...

    Bye everyone!

Hi all- Tomorrow I'm finally leaving on my honeymoon. There will be lots of outdoor activities and getting my hair wet, so I hope my hairloss isn't too visible... We're going to the Caribbean. See you all in a week. Merry Christmas! Anita

    Order of application

I'm using minoxidil 5% and Folligen. Does it matter which one I apply first? Or it just a matter of preference?
