Going along with the idea of equations, here's how to figure out what % minoxidil you're getting: (5x + 2y)/(x+y) Where x is the number of 5% bottles and y is the number of 2% bottles. If you used five 5% bottles and seven 2% bottles, you would get: (25 + 14)/(5+7) = 39/12 = 3.25% minoxidil

Mix 1 bottle of 5% and 2 bottles of 2%. That'll give you three bottles of 3%. Six 5% and Seven 2% will give you something like 3.4%.
