I am in the former group. basically maintained my hairline, but diffusing everywhere. my hair is slowly softening into nothing. anything you can recommend. i've been propecia for almost 3 years. stopped taking it about a month ago. just hasn't been doing anything.

What does it mean to get a lab done? I've been on propecia 2 1/2 years and am having very similar problems, diffusing like crazy, starting to look like i got a comb over shag. where do i get a lab done?

im short, big headed, and have patchy thin facial hair that looks terrible if grown out. my head looks rediculous shaved. so, i'm doomed.

Has anyone you know, or anyone on this board, actually gone to the doctor - after being told that their thinning appears abnormal - and actually been told that they don't have male pattern baldness. Cause the whole "you might have Telogen Effluvium" claim seems to be a little overused. wishful thinking for everyone's sake

it was definately out of about 30 hairs probably. nothing much at all. it was concentrated at the center of the parting area. the hair there is extremely weak and when it falls out, i can break it in half without much effort at all. how do i find out if i have Telogen Effluvium?
