BlueScreen's Story - ( joining the fight against hair loss!)

So I had my chat with Paul Nola over in his Ponsonby clinic. He looked at my head from different angles and took close-up photo's. He took particular notice of my flaky disgusting, scalp and seemed more concerned about the implications of that than my actual hairloss. Understandable. My scalp...

    Itchy scalp despite using Nizarol

Nizoral 2% seems to have reduced the itching for me, but I know it won't go away completely until the DHT is blocked. If Nizoral 2% is too harsh, try the 1% version. I have also had success removing the itching with a special type of herbal shampoo. I can't remember the brand name but most...

BlueScreen's Story - ( joining the fight against hair loss!)

Thanks for the tip Jambo I had a quick email discussion with Paul Nola (a.k.a the hair doctor). It wasn't too hard getting through to him. I arranged for an appointment with him this week and hopefully he can point me in the right direction. I think consultation is about $50 but I afford it...

BlueScreen's Story - ( joining the fight against hair loss!)

Okay, well I have been browsing this forum more and found topics on Advanced Hair Studio's, Clive Hair Clinics and the like. Sounds like they are all scams, every last one of them. Only the prescription drugs can really help So I'm looking at netpharmacy over in Parnell for the things I need...

The definition of "aggresive hair loss"

Armadien, I'm not sure what you mean by cowlick but yea, its the crown zone. I figure I'm at NW2.5 or less so maybe I'm being paranoid. I'm balding fast but not quite that fast.

The definition of "aggresive hair loss"

I did a forum search on aggressive hair loss. I can see a lot of people talking about it and I am curious if I fit the description of someone who has it. It mainly sounds as though aggressive hair loss is where you cross several Norwood stages within a few years but opinions vary. There is a thin...

What Norwood stage are you at?

I'd take a guess at NW2.25 Hairline has receded at the sides but I have long hair covering that and most people don't notice. I do however have a clear thin patch about 10cm in diameter at the back of my head. Nothing, can hide it from the light.

    Oily scalp

I have this same problem: Very itchy and oily scalp (but hair is often very dry) and when I scratch my scalp I can dig up hunks of dead skin which I am sure is just piled up dandruff mixed with grease Showering wont remove it because the matter is so greasy and sticky. Sometimes feel like...

BlueScreen's Story - ( joining the fight against hair loss!)

Hello, I have at last decided to do something about my hair loss. I have thick dark brown, ultra curly hair...well only on the sides now. Used to be an afro 8 years ago before the balding kicked in. I love the attention I get for it (White boys with afro's tend to be unusual) and it has become...
