Burning scalp side effects from Finasteride

I honestly couldn't care if you believe this but I'm not the only person who has suffered with these side effects. Doctors can't work it out and it's too much of a coincidence that it all started happening within 2 weeks of me taking finasteride. Anyway, I'm about 3 weeks into fluridil. Will keep you...

Burning scalp side effects from Finasteride

Okay thanks Are these different to minoxidil? Can I expect to experience shedding? And do you know if they will help with the other effects of upregulation, such as the burning sensation. Ta

Burning scalp side effects from Finasteride

Thanks for your replies. I haven't, and I wouldn't know where to start unfortunately. After using finasteride I was concerned about trying anything else except medical shampoos etc which got me no where really. Then I've just kind of lived with it up until this point and gave up accepted that...

Burning scalp side effects from Finasteride

My thoughts too. Although official studies don't support this nor do they acknowledge this and tell us that side effects stop when you stop taking the drug. Other anecdotal experiences are told it's all in their head and that we should trust the science. It's criminal. The doctors I've seen...

Burning scalp side effects from Finasteride

Been off the drug for about 3 and half years now. Still dealing with the side effects- Burning/painful scalp is the main issue, any suggestions? I've tried medicated shampoos and steroids/creams from the doctor. Massages and cold showers. Nothing works. Does anyone else have any suggestions...

Help! finasteride is making my hair worst!!

Yes, perhaps. Just seemed to rocket very quickly once I started taking finasteride. I don't deny that it works well for many people but after reading alot about it over the years, it does also seem to have the reverse effect on others.

Help! finasteride is making my hair worst!!

This happened to me. I probably started taking finasteride too early- I was 30 at the time with slight thinning in the crown area but I will admit I became obsessed with what I was seeing. After only 2 months of being on finasteride my hair actually thinned, became dry, my hairline was destroyed which wasn't an...

Is seeing scalp under lighting always mean diffuse?

What is your obsession with comparing people to film characters and 'chernboyl'? You bring no help to people's posts, you just troll. So much irony with your username because you are infact, as thick as sh*t.

That's good news then, if yours is becoming thicker! Yes, mine turned from black to lighter or brown. I also shed whenever I run my hands through my hair

Listen pal, if you have something for Kermit and ms piggy, then that is fine. Please don't bring me into your fantasies. You should also probably grow up

I'm sorry you seem to have taken offence to the fact I've said I had side effects from taking finasteride. This is a discussion forum about hair loss and I am asking people's opinions on whether mine has gotten significantly worse in the last 12 months. I haven't asked for alternative treatments...

    1 year difference

Unfortunately not. I've receded too but don't have any previous pictures to compare it to. I am diffuse all over, including the back and sides. The red shirt pic is in a harsher light. Would you say the diffuse has gotten progressively worse?

I'm not playing any guess if I'm going bald game, nor am I looking for sympathy? I stated why I can't use the go-to products because that's what will get suggested. And frankly, I regret going on them as none of the problems existed before I went on them. I was merely asking what people's...

    1 year difference

Unfortunately I cannot use the big 3- I tried 1mg of finasteride 2.5 years ago and I had a bad reaction- hair thinned out, massive shed, dry brittle hair, increased sebum, increased body hair, itching and a painful scalp. Although these symptoms have slowed, they are still present. How badly...
