I know it's not the right way but I'm only using boiled/filtered water and ethanol.
45 ml composed of 40% ethanol and 60% water with 3 5 mg pills.
Since I apply 30 drops, 1.5ml, that's approximately 0.5 mg daily.
I'm thinking of adding PG though

It's true that alcohol will dry your scalp, but personally, I use moisturizing shampoo which does the trick for me. I'm also not using Minoxidil which requires a more frequent application and contributes to the problem. However, i'm planning to add it in my regimen (see...
I'm no Doctor, but 0.5% sounds like a high dose, especially if liposome formula yields a higher absorption.
0.5% means 5mg/ml. If you apply 1.5ml, that's about 7.5 mg a day.
Even though it's topical, sounds like a high dose imo
I'd personally make two solutions and use them together (that would happen only once a day since finasteride needs to be applied 1x vs 2x for minoxidil).
While it's true that alcoholic solutions easily dissolve finasteride, the vast majority of a pill is made of fillers which may not combine well...
I posted this on another thread but may help:
I found out that 30 drops of solution is the ideal volume to apply on scalp, see below:
1 ml - 20 drops
1.5 ml - 30 drops; target
daily dosage of 0.50 mg fina (0.05%)
solution good for 1 month (30 days)
volume = 1.5 ml * 30 = 45ml
composition 40%...
I took oral for roughly 18 months before side effects were bad (their onset was gradual making hard to notice) and was at that point where I took blood samples.
After a few weeks off of it the side effects subsided / blood levels came back to normal and I decided to try topical on a DIY way...
I never tried that but I guess it all depends on your goal..
The whole idea of topical finasteride is to avoid, or at least reduce side effects - systemic absorption is lesser with topical. At least my blood exams confirmed some 20-25% reduction in dht compared to 70% in oral.
Since duta has a...
