Not sure that's entirely true? Aren't there stats that show heart disease is higher in balding people? May well indicate there is system wide damage to the vascular system that also impacts hair surely?
Yeah, my hair loss got really bad during a time when I was stressed and eating sh*t food and drinking lots of soda. Back then the soft drink was in shitty plastic bottles full of endocrine disruptors and obviously the sugar was terrible. Now my hair is too sh*t and have to buzz it, but it's...
My diffuse thinning is still clearly in the androgenic alpocia areas and worst on the top of my head and the crown, the density is fine on the sides and back. Is yours general thinning as seems to be described as a result of thyroid issues or also in the male pattern baldness areas? And if it's also in the male pattern baldness...
I am currently diffuse thinning (and temple receding). The diffuse appears similar to my father, the receding is from my mother. Both my father and I appear to have hyperthyroidism due to nodules on the thyroid, I am however in the early stages.
I am not sure I fully understand agonist in this...
Have mild hyperthyroidism from my father's side, have diffuse thinning matching my father and temple recession matching my mother's father. One sibling just has temple recession, other has diffuse. Seems 99% genetic to me.
Unfortunately I am guessing that there are underlying issues with hormone pathways and the genes or way some people's skin responds to inflammation/cell degredation and male pattern baldness may have a few basic mechanisms that cause it but a myriad of potential factors that can exacerbate it...
Certainly not the actual cause, balding has been around forever in males, but yes probably just speeding it up. It seems people are balding younger and more often these days. For myself I have the exact same hair as my father, diffuse thinning and starting to see odd white ones, he had a mane...
Hmm, so increase in baldness around the world and in places like Asia where it was more uncommon and some were blaming western diets. As soon as I saw prolactin I wondered about plastic estrogen mimics and low and behold a quick search gets results like this "The environmental estrogen bisphenol...
Certainly when my hair loss started I got the "itch" and during puberty I always had painful pimples on my scalp and greasy hair. Interesting I no longer have that "itch", sometimes makes me wonder if the damage is done in a short time period but the effects takes years decades to slowly destroy...
