Parsia, thanks for running the group buy. Now that you've been taking Kane's Seti for a few weeks, how do you feel about it? Have you noticed any positive or negative effects? Most importantly, do you feel that Kane's Seti is pure and legitimate?
On forums for acne, megadosing of Vitamin B5 was very trendy for a while, as it has Accutane-like skin drying effects. Many of those people reported significant hair loss, which is similar to what some experience on Accutance. I wouldn't recommend it.
Parsia, did you do any research into where to get it tested and how much it costs? I am going to order some from Kane on an individual basis and am willing to pay to get it tested.
Anyone have more information? Studies would be very helpful. I am willing and able to fly to Japan to get the treatment - assuming it will be cheaper there compared to Switzerland given the differentials in exchange rates and cost of living. Certainly would report back with a detailed log.
Another reason Sulfasalazine helps with hair loss is because it reduces testosterone. I suffer from an inflammatory condition where it is sometimes prescribed and could clearly feel a difference in terms of aggression, libido, etc. It was only a few months but I didn't have any further losses...
Smoking is definitely bad for hair - it narrows blood vessels which makes it more difficult for your follicles to receive adequate nutrition.
Drinking is tougher to say. I swear that I shed more after drinking, but there isn't much scientific basis for why this might be the case.
