I'm really looking for some hope at this point. Are there any cases of people who continued to lose hair on finasteride but stopped after switching to dutasteride? My male pattern baldness genes are very aggressive and I am balding in NW6 pattern.

Thing is, I never lost hairs that were this thin/measly. They are all so small and see through. Usually they are thick and black. My crown/vertex is taking an absolute pummelling. (Interestingly, it doesn't seem to be from the hair swirl). My hair "swirl" or whatever you call it is actually not...

There has been a user that lowered his dose to about on 5mg pill every 1-2 weeks and it worked for him. I would try lowering the dose to 0.5mg, monitor that and see what happens. Cheers

Lol to people saying stay away from generics... Generics are EXACTLY the same as Propecia. The molecule is the exact same, it just doesn't have the same name. Thats like saying "omg Ibuprofen is so much less effective than Advil".

Same for me. Everyone told me it is normal. Give finasteride at least 4 months before judging anything. That's what I'm doing. If finasteride doesn't halt the hair loss at the 4 month mark I'm switching to dutasteride. Gluck
