Is 1% okay to use/ 2% I need a prescription

My prescription of nizoral 2% ran out a while ago. I think it will be awhile before I will be able to get another one. Is it a good idea to substitue 1% otc for 2%. Anyone had good results with 1%? Is there a big difference between 1 and 2%?
