It's an interesting study because it was tested on humans not on mice. It decreased shedding, I wonder if someone started using these shampoos they could slow down hair loss the process a decade or 2? Wish they tested this on male pattern baldness though. My current routine is nizoral 1x a week and zinc shampoo...
i don't think you've read through this entire thread
But you didn't use zix long enough to know whether or not it worked, I understand not being willing to a risk but there are others who have and experienced results.
Is dealing with the sides worth it though? What's the point if i can't get an erection and grow man boobs. How do you weight the scales in your mind like before trying other viable alternatives like zix rather than writing off solutions you haven't tried.
How is it nonsense? This thread is rife with evidence that zix works to a significant degree. The farthest I'd go with finasteride is Topical finasteride because I can tell i'd be one of the ones to react negatively, even at half a dose. Perhaps, I could try finasteride for a bit, then I went i...
im sure someone has asked this before, but i wonder if the gains from minoxidil could maintained or delayed in shedding by zix, nizoral, and zinc pyrthione shampoos if you stopped using minoxidil
"There’s a study that shows zinc pyrithione has a mild, positive effect on hair growth and the authors suggest it maybe because of an antiinflammatory or 5 alpha reductase inhibitory effect. From memory the effect was equivalent to about half that of minoxidil over the course of 6 months and the...
Just an update, I've still using the head and shoulders zinc pyrithione shampoo and a few weeks ago I've decided to include nizoral into the mix. Both have evidence evidence to support an 5 alpha reductase inhibitory effect. It's too early in the game to tell, but i wonder if they'll have a...
I stopped using zix because I got tired of the preparation process but I'll get back on now and combine with Zinc pyrithione shampoo usage for cumulative DHT effect, In my experience both zix and this shampoo have reduced inflammation.
Very interesting read that I'd like to bring attention to
The theory that explains everything. Please help me make this big! : tressless (reddit.com)
"We all know DHT kills/shrinks the hair follicle but DHT also gets killed by the enzyme called 3alpha-hydroxysteroid. Due how some scalps are...
What do you guys think about replacing the ethly alchohol in zix with aloe vera instead? Aloe vera has been shown to have hair growth effects, it is antibacterial/viral properties, and you probably wont have to worry about it drying out hair like alchohol does.
Does anyone here know to keep zix fresh without alchohol or refrigeration? My relatives are nitpicky about me keeping zix in the fridge, I've considered buying a mini fridge, but that's just going to far for something so minor.
