As title says, don't want to speed up my hair loss and don't want it to stun my beard growth as I have read.

Is it possible if I go on finasteride it will speed up my hair loss and not come back?

I am 21, if I take action now do you think I could stall it for a while and if so how long can it usually be stalled for? or maybe even regrow a bit.
