    Researchers Develop First Cloned Hair.

This does sound promising. I just wonder why this hasn't been talked about on television, like the wounding and application of WNT inhibitors on the scalp being researched by Dr. Cotsarelis was covered in an interview on the Today Show. Also, I bought Spencer Kobren's book The Bald Truth when...

    Neograft?

I read the points that Dr. Feller pointed out, and I think they are all good points. The answer is that we have to wait and see, statistically, whether this thing works with a LOT of patients. I'm sure there were some nay-sayers when the FUE procedure first came out. I'd like to think that...

    Neograft?

ComeOnPropy, why do you think this machine is useless? I agree that this might lead to poor quality hair follicles. Since it is faster to get the follicles one by one by extracting them from the scalp as opposed to cutting them out from a strip of scalp, there might be a potential to "miss"...

culprit to hair-loss could be found in balding mice

Good article. I wonder why this article just came out, and yet they say that they have noticed the periodic shedding and regrowth of hair for two years: And not to start another debate about whether the sebaceous glands are a cause of hair loss, they do mention that the glands are larger...

GOOD NEWS FROM INTERCYTEX (MARCH 26 2009)

A micron is a micrometer, which is 0.000001 meters thick. I read that hair is between 50 and 120 microns thick. So 30 isn't that great, but it isn't that bad, either. If nothing else, I consider the recent progress made by Intercytex as something of a baseline. Not incredibly impressive...

Joe McHale made a cool comment on E!'s The Soup

At the end of tonight's episode of The Soup, he said something about somebody leaving their car lights on, and the license plate says "Shameless Plugs". Then he added "Oh wait, that's my car". I've always noticed his hair loss, but he is so fricking cool and funny, it's like it doesn't even...

    Intercytex - No Money

Just a nitpick: I believe the trailing part of the quote which was bolded - "and good progress" - was meant for ICX-SKN, not ICX-TRC. But I am still looking forward to hearing the results, which are expected THIS quarter? Man, time flies!

    What is Follica?

Which website did you visit? Can you post a link?

    radio add on boston wbz

Thanks, Leeds. That's some good info. This is interesting. Aderans is a pretty big entity. Think you might participate? Did they say what norwood level you have to be, or how bald you have to be? Thanks for the post.

Losing your Hair? MTV is looking for you!

I don't know who CCS is, nor how bald he is. But generally speaking, I think we can all agree that *the* worst-case scenario regarding androgenic alopecia is when somebody is hit very young. So for starters, let's put our youngest balding guy out there to "tell our story" of how it affects us...

    radio add on boston wbz

Aderans, huh? So the ad was about clinical trials for hair multiplication/cloning then? Thanks for the heads-up!

No talk about Acell experiment here?

How would you characterize or define "strong donor area"? Like relatively thick hair? I guess maybe what I'm asking is how you would define weak donor area?

    Follica - Good News!

I think the website (follica inc bio?) states that they should have some kind of an update next year, 2009. We probably won't hear anything until summer 2009.

This is the month we've ALL been waiting for!!! =)

I think what I said makes sense. It's just a matter of perspective. There are people in this world that want things to work for them, and there are other people who want things to work for everybody. I want things to work for everybody. Sure, if it works for most of us, then wrap it up and...

This is the month we've ALL been waiting for!!! =)

jimmythebean, you have a good point. However, that is a mentality that I would like to see change. Let's stop comparing to the precedent, saying that if we catch 70% of the rapists and murderers in the world, then we are doing "okay". Or if 80% of cancer victims survive with this new...
