Amplifica - New Hair Loss Company Gets 11.8 million Funding

Look back through this forum and you'll see countless examples of similar announcements. Eventually, someone will get something right, but I'm not holding my breath. Any new US company won't have their product available for 10+ years anyway. I like their aggressiveness but there hasn't been a...

Update From The God Himself - Dr. Takashi Tsuji

The fact that Tsuji couldn't get funding easily makes me suspicious he a.) hasn't solved certain key issues related to the treatment, b.) can't prove it will be as effective as everyone thinks or c.) they expect some other operational issues/contstraints going to market. A new treatment like...

Stemson is going to use minipigs in the next stage of their hair cloning research

This guy is crazy. No reputable pharma company releases details about everything they do. In fact, it's suspicious when one does because it looks like they need funding when you see paid announcements about minor progress across several platforms. The fact is that Stemson has a lot of funding...

Started Oral minoxidil 5 weeks ago (shedding increase)

where are you all getting your oral minoxidil? A normal derm, or someone that specializes in hair loss?

So basically this June 2022 article says that Stemson still has YEARS of pre-clinical studies to do.

Yes I understand it's not a drug but was using it as a comparison. And we don't know if any novel drugs/anything else will need to be tested as part of the treatment. Most of what people are saying is speculation at this point. And it's possible they'd use another country as a proof of concept...

So basically this June 2022 article says that Stemson still has YEARS of pre-clinical studies to do.

Yes, anyone familiar with clinical trials or the history of hair research can tell you this is a long ways off, especially from being widely available if they're successful. The average time to bring a new drug to market is 10 years...don't see why this wouldn't take at least that, if not more...

Stemson is going to use minipigs in the next stage of their hair cloning research

Keep in mind that's his estimate to BEGIN clinical trials. Unless they get some sort of accelerated approval or trial usage, I think this is at least 10 years from being publicly available if everything goes well (big if), and even that could be optimistic.

Stemson is going to use minipigs in the next stage of their hair cloning research

No, people think you're crazy for expecting an answer. Reach out to Pfizer, J&J or any pharma company about clinical trials and see if they reveal anything. There's literally no benefit for them to give information to a random schmuck online. If they need press, funding, etc., they'll put out a...

World Hair Congress 2022 in Melbourne Australia

No point in attending IMO...or at least in us funding anyone. Anything noteworthy will come out in the following weeks, and anything great will likely be known about ahead of time.

Stemson is going to use minipigs in the next stage of their hair cloning research

Last I read/heard in an interview, it had to do with the direction hairs grow. They'll likely implant a scaffold of some sort (like a filament or something) to help direct the hair to grow in a certain direction. Apparently that can be difficult if they just implant the follicle or cells by...

Stemson is going to use minipigs in the next stage of their hair cloning research

I've browsed this forum for years and had an account awhile ago, and it always amazes me how people think companies should just announce any and all progress they make. They don't owe us anything if they're not selling a product yet. All announcements like this do is cause people to go into a...
