Could the reason for the libido side effects come from the fact that some side products of finasteride goes through gastro tract? Topically this would not be the case or is somehow less?

I really got frustrated about the sides and switched to topical finasteride this week. I have already noticed some changes in libido and erections are much stronger in morning. Still have to wait couple more weeks to get better results. The solution is equivalent to 1.5mg oral finasteride but...

I have the same issue if I take too much finasteride. With 1mg daily dosage I will get these symptoms but when I reduce it to 0.33mg/day the symptoms go away in a week or two. I'm thinking of trying the topical solution next with 1mg/day dosage.
