It's felt rapid to me, and there are some phases where it seems to speed up. But looking back, I guess it's been a pretty drawn out process. Can't answer regarding number of hairs shed. I lose a handful every time I shower. Which, given the loss I've had, you would expect more.

Dude. What you need to do is relax and maybe get some therapy. You have no need for those aggressive treatments and are nowhere near Norwood 2.5. You will nuke the good hair you have going that route and wind up with even worse sides. Seriously, diffuse thinning? Stay on the big 3 and chill out.

Finasteride as well. Making some other changes (described above) that would likely only have a minor effect.

Finasteride since August 2020 and Minoxidil since December 2018. Both grandfathers went bald early. Dad and younger brother both have full heads of hair. In other words, I got bogus luck.

Nope. I’m pretty satisfied with the hair I have from treatments alone so far. When they lose effectiveness, I’d rather bite the bullet and shave it than get a hair transplant.
