Thanks guys. These were all helpful responses. I think I'm definitely gonna start minoxidil this week. The only thing holding me back is my hair shedding on the treatment and then not growing back. So far that's what's happened with finasteride.

Ok thanks for the advice. I've only noticed a slow down of hair loss from finasteride though and the top is all thinner so I am starting to think ill need a more aggressive regimen and fight through initial shed of minoxidil.

I've been on finasteride for 4.5 months now and have had on and off sheds. Hair loss is slowing but no thickening of thin hair yet. would it hurt if I add min and nizoral for the big 3 this late into my finasteride regimen. Or should I give finasteride more time before adding to my regimen?

I thought that the finasteride shed would more than likely regrow the hairs lost during treatment back thicker after the resting phase. Ill give finasteride 2 more months before deciding...

I would say keep the top a little longer than the sides and back. The worst thing you could do is let the sides and back get too long because it will make the front recession/thinning more noticeable. Good luck hope this helps.
