This is what I've tried and it seems to be working, take 1/2 Proscar one day, and the next day, take 1/4 Proscar, and follow that dosing down the line. It seems to have stopped my shedding, but I'm not giving medical advice.

IMO, you're too young for a hair transplant, stay on the meds and see what they can do for you.
