Hi there I’m 16 and noticed some recession in my hairline and I currently started to notice some tiny hairs growing where I have receded so I’m just wondering does this mean anything

How can I tell if my hair is thinning or not as I’m not sure if I brush my hand across my hair it feels thick but not sure?

I have a bald spot at the back which is only noticeable with a flashlight and I’ve had it for a while and the hair there is quite thick so is that fine? Thank you
