The National Library of Medicine gives peer-reviewed analysis of why taking topical minoxidil orally isn't safe, so it isn't something I would recommend :)
Interesting. Can you please point me to the research supporting this method? Everything I've read indicates that topical minoxidil should never be taken orally as there is risk of refractory shock due to its vasodilatory effect.
May I ask why? I’ve had no adverse effects from topical minoxidil and I don’t need a prescription for it. Is oral minoxidil proven to be more effective than topical?
