Wouldn't worry about it much. I think this concern is mainly related to sodium nitrate when used as a food additive, possibly forming harmful substances in the stomach after ingestion.

What makes you think Miconazole has similar effects to 15% minoxidil?

A while back I noticed that my grandpa has exactly the same type of 'island' balding pattern (I've got it too) when I looked at one of his old wedding photographs. Now 60 years later his hair has receded and thinned, but not that much. I guess this type of balding goes slow.

I can't really see any differences because the photos are all in different angles.
