Yeahb To be honest I give a lot of credit to the oral min as well. I was diffuse thinning in the sides and back as well and that has now thickened. I don't apply the topical dutasteride on those areas so I can only imagine it's the min. But then again it could be the dutasteride going...

I have been using every other day ever since I started. Another thing to add, ever since the shedding I feel. My scalp is very dry and almost hurts. Any idea why that could be?

It seems like you have the same time line as me 6 months growth and then massive shedding. I hope you don't end up like me and continue this shedding for another year. Wish you the best and let me know how it goes.

Yes hair has receded worse and crown is definitely thinner then before dutasteride. I don't know how/why this happened, and whether to cut my losses now and stop dutasteride or continue and hopefully have it regrow. But like I said this has been going on for 14 months now.

Just an update, it has now been 14 months and still shedding. This doesn't make sense. How is it possible I had regrowth for the first 6 months and then all of a sudden 14 month of shedding and not stopping. Do you guys think it's time to stop the dutasteride?

sorry for being away guys. As of right now I'm still shedding but it seems to have slowed a bit. It has been approximately 4.5 months of shedding. I did have pictures of my original growth but I had lost my phone and pictures with it. I will post pictures tomorrow of my hair at present...

So you think it's the minoxidil that's causing the shedding and not the dutasteride. I will continue my regimen as is, but I'm really hoping this shedding can come to a stop, almost in panic mode.
