Keep in mind this happened over the coarse of maybe a month. I’m looking back on pictures from December and I had a full head of hair. That’s why I’m taken by such surprise.
This is exactly why I want a second opinion. I’ve heard about 5 different things it could be and I want to get to correct treatment to stop it. I’m going to my doctor over spring break as this was the soonest I could get it and in the meantime I’ll be using biotin and a anti-thinning shampoo
I think that’s what I’ll do. I was wanting to get my blood drawn to see if I was deficient in anything but all he did was look at my scalp like you said for about 3 seconds and said I had male pattern baldness.
I may be being too optimistic but the only reason I feel like it may not be male pattern baldness is because it happened to quickly and he didn’t test my blood or anything. All he did was quickly inspect my scalp and his educated guess was it’s male pattern baldness.
Just got back from the dermatologist and he said he believes it’s male pattern baldness based off his inspection and the fact that he wasn’t seeing excessive amounts of hair coming out. Thoughts on this?
I always had a bigger forehead with a hairline that slightly receded but stopped about 2 years ago. Now out of no where my hair seems to be getting much thinner on top. Is this balding? I have a video that makes it much clearer but can’t figure out how to post it here.
