If you're gonna take hormones, might as well take test and shave and get huge, than Estrogen.
But I suspect this is a safe space for Transitioning... which I mean is fine
I remember 6 years ago I thought to myself, as I was losing hair, "surely in five years there will be a cure, I will simply use minoxidil in the meantime", very glad for forums like this one, with 20+ years of "5 years away" to bring me to my senses.
My shame is posting "I will wait for a cure"...
Finasteride is used by trannies for hair loss only, and even then as an afterthought. There isn't a single MtF dumb enough to think finasteride would do anything for feminization post-utero, even then it would be largely ineffective at anything other than astronomically high doses.
Regardless...
Folks, I've been looking through this thread, and I don't know how to gently put this, but I would suggest therapy or a visit to the nearest physician to talk about your hairloss and the hugely damaging regimens you're taking.
To think 6 years ago I was using minoxidil alone, putting off finasteride use in case of a cure in the near future.
So goddamn glad I hopped on finasteride.
There was no reaction at all. I got all hyped up waiting for something, but nothing did. Didn't lose hair, didn't gain hair, just like taking a multivitamin everyday. Very slowly, over like 18 months my hair got a little thicker. Nothing dramatic. Just a little over baseline, but it's stayed...
Stick with it. Finasteride works. You will not net lose hair long-term.
Aside, seems to be a lot of anti-finasteride talk here recently lol
Aside aside: huh, I've been on finasteride for at least 4 years judging by my join date. One of the best decisions of my life.
