Would you also describe my current hairline as a NW2-NW3 like the other guy? As I don't think it's at that stage yet, though it definitely is thinning a bit. I guess I'll probably end up on fina.. though can't imagine taking it for years on end...

Was your hair at a similar stage to mine? Also, is there anything else I can do that will be reasonably successful beyond taking finasteride? As I'm pretty scared of the side effects and don't really care all that much about being bald in the future, just not while I'm in my 20s.

Oh wow, I didn't think it was that bad. I was thinking of waiting till the new year to decide on whether I should take any form of medication, as I had previously seen a dermatologist (while my hair was long) who suggested that my hair hadn't really thinned out or receded too much yet. Though...
