Probably not. If it's going to happen, it'll happen. Try not to focus on this Christmas, think of how it'll look next Christmas and other years further down the road.

I haven't posted pictures before, but I'll try to give you a better look at my progression. I hit my worst stage from around 3.5 months to 4 months, then started noticing more of the new growth around 4.5 months, and now it's been filling in ever since (currently at 5.25 months).

Stick it out on the finasteride. Like yourself, I noticed small new hair growth after a couple months on finasteride, but from month 2 to maybe 4.5 was awful for thinning. After that thinning finally stopped, the regrowth has been very strong and a lot more noticeable over the last month and my hair is better...
