He is basing his thoughts about you from his own experience with others and making assumptions about you on those past interactions with other individuals.
He completely disregards the fact that he does not know you and you may very well be entirely different from other people.
Looseitall I understand your pain as a fellow with Aspergers and some minor hairloss.
As a child (3-7) I had a complete and total obsession with oscillating fans (The mechanism that made it move actually) and I was hard pressed to talk about anything else which made my first 2 years of grade...
I went all in and buzzed (#1) my hair that basically put an end to my prolonged suffering no longer do I wake up and check my pillow or spend every other hour checking my hair in the mirror.
That is how I dealt with it cold turkey.
