I find Volume Hair Plus Dark Brown a really good colour. It is kinds of brownish black that blends in really well with dark colour hair.

From my experience this might be the case if you apply too much. Are you using a spray nozzle? If you don't have too much hair no matter how much you apply it won't give you good results. Use a hand held mirror and don't be discouraged at the beginning as you need some practice. It's much harder with powders as you have to tilt you head and I personally wasn't very successful with it. I personally use Volume Hair plus spray and find it quite easy to do the back of my hair.

I usually put on Minoxidil 5% in the morning before work, 10mins and blow dry it, in the evening after shower again 10mins and blow dry. Concealer only occasionally and be carefull with them as they clog up combs.
