Too scared to have a crack at finasteride again

I bought a pack of Propecia online and I am too scared to take .5mg a day just in case I get gynocasmastia again. Ten years ago I took 1.25mg finasteride a day and got gyno in the right nipple which was surgically removed. As I have been on Minoxidil and 2% nizoral daily for over a year with no regrowth...

    cutting propecia into quarters..........

Sammo - I personally would start out on .5mg as I read many good sucess stories with this dose. I used to take 1.25mg about ten years ago, got sides so I'm gonna give .5mg a shot too. However I have Proscar on the way which means I'll have to cut it into ten pieces which is going to be...

    Not for receding hairline

Funny enough I bought four months worth of foam today and noticed the same disclaimer. Its simply because it was not tested in this area. Just google (UK site) 'Rogaine Foam' and it will being up the 'direct' supplier.

Been on Minoxidil for 9 months - Is it time to quit?

I did not realise that the foam is dirt cheap. Just seen it for 40GBP inc delivery on a uk minoxidil web site for 4 months supply. I think that I will give the foam a try for 3 months which will take me to the 12 month mark of using minoxidil. If it does not work then I will simply ditch all...

Been on Minoxidil for 9 months - Is it time to quit?

I have not tried minoxidil foam. I ditched topical spironolactone cream after the six month mark as it is not practical to apply when you have hair (although fine on a buzzed scalp). Whatever happens, I will continue to wash my hair with Nizoral as its cheap, hassle free and keeps away that male pattern baldness itch...

Been on Minoxidil for 9 months - Is it time to quit?

Been using Dr Lee's 5% minoxidil religiously for 9 months on hairline and NW3 temples. To date it has not grown or thickend up anything or even grown hair in unwanted places, no sides, no nothing. I have also been washing my hair daily with 2% Nizoral - Is it time to throw in the towel...

Should you use conditioner after Nizoral?

I have been using nizoral 2% once a day for six months. I use a spray-in conditioner and it works well.

do you need spironolactone if you already use nizoral?

I use Nizoral 2% daily and my scalp is fine and in great health (no dry skin/flaking/redness etc). Technically it should be harsh using it everyday but I have used Head and Shoulders daily for years and it doesn't seem to irritate it. My head is buzzed right down and I only use a tiny bit.

NO [Dr. Lee's] 5% minoxidil and 5%spironolactone DOES NOT stink

HairComeAgain: I was thinking the same as you, i.e. Maybe I originally had an 'empty' version! My first tub just smelt like E45 cream. Dr Lee has replied to me and is sending out a replacement tub and has requested that his staff "smell and test it" prior to shipping.

NO [Dr. Lee's] 5% minoxidil and 5%spironolactone DOES NOT stink

This is wierd. When I opened the 'fresh' tub of spironolactone 24 hours ago, it absolutely stank including this mornings application - I could not wait to wash the stuff off as it was that bad. However I have just opened the tub for this evenings application and the smell has practically gone. I...

NO [Dr. Lee's] 5% minoxidil and 5%spironolactone DOES NOT stink

I'll take back what I said earlier as I have just opened up my second tub of 5% spironolactone cream and this one DOES stink both when you smell the tub and when its on your scalp. I also opened up another tub and that smells too. They must have changed the formula or maybe mine has gone off ??? I...

NO [Dr. Lee's] 5% minoxidil and 5%spironolactone DOES NOT stink

My girlfriend also said that it does NOT stink. It simply smells like an odourless moisturiser (E45 for example).

NO [Dr. Lee's] 5% minoxidil and 5%spironolactone DOES NOT stink

I totally agree. I even apply them closer together.

Minoxidil 5% and topical Spironolactone 5%

I just started it in Aug 06 - Its been almost a month to date so too early to report. However I am impressed with the application of these products. I was going to start it a year ago but decided not too as I was going to give Zix ago instead.
