Ron,
I had great success with Loniten but unfortunately I had to stop after a while, the only reason is because I started growing hair in strange places on my face where I never had hair before. I don't have a problem growing hair on my hands or beard, that was actually nice thing. But hair...
It's been a month now since I switched from topical to Oral Minoxidil 5mg/ day. That was the greatest decision I have made regarding my hair loss, and I do really regret not starting this earlier at least I could have saved my hairline. I will go over the positive and negative effects...
lol!! I am half arabic too brother "Egyptian"... But I guess I don't have the hairy gene :D
Bibz, it's very promising for me to hear your success with loniten. I hope I will have the same results with little sides as you. I will keep updating this thread with my progress.
Thanks again!!
Bibz,
Thank you so much for sharing your story!! it's very encouraging to hear that you had success with Loniten.
I hear you man, applying this thing on your head 2x daily is a big hassle, and that's why I used to only apply once a day before bedtime.
As far as growing hair in other parts...
I think this is the same case with me Pavi. I know I have a slightly higher than normal blood pressure, but wasn't a problem at all. Since I started Oral Minoxidil I actually feel better than before and I don't get heart palpitations anymore.
Topical did work and had some good regrowth, but the itch was my problem.
I never heard of Minoxidil sulphate before, what is it and how it's different than regular Minoxidil?
I totally agree with you. I used topical Minoxidil and actually I am a good responder to it, but the itch I had from PG was driving me crazy that I had to drop it. My dermatologist recommended using Glycerin based solution which I did, but that one didn't work. I think PG is important in...
James,
I will not add spironolactone to my regime, because I would never take any drug that changes my hormonal system.I tried Finasteride before and man that was a big mistake. Not only the ED and loss of libido, but the mental side effects were horrible. Brain fog, depression, anxiety you name it...
I decided to take loniten when I saw that many doctors prescribed it for their patients for hair loss, and one of them is a very reputable dermatologist in New York area. He prescribed loniten at 0.25mg for hair loss in women.
I am sure these docs aren't stupid!!
Pavi,
I am definitely looking out for those. If I do get any sides I will drop the dose to 2.5mg/day. I am not using any diuretic and not planning to do so.
Hi all,
This is my first time posting in online forms. I hope I will get some feedback from here. I recently switched from topical minoxidil to loniten which is oral minoxidil. I did a lot of research into it and looking at the state of my hair right now, I decided to make the move and jump on...
I had a pretty decent hairline before finasteride, but now my sides are almost gone. I am afraid to wait any longer and hair never grow back, I wish I can just return to where I was before finasteride. I am a very good responder to Minoxidil anyway so I will just stay on it.
I had the same...
This is exactly what happened to me on finasteride. I started taking finasteride 3 month ago and ever since I have been losing my hair from all over my scalp but specifically from the hairline.
I went for a blood test and what you're saying is very true; I checked my DHT which was very low "8"...
