We know that the effects of finasteride/dutasteride can last up to 12months, so shouldn't the hairs that are going to be transplanted by soaked in finasteride/dutasteride before they're reimplanted tomake them last longer???
I've read claims about ASCJ9 that it degrades androgen receptors, and that this is better than merely blocking them. But what's the difference? Aren't cells constantly producing androgen receptors, and don't drugs like spironolactone irreversibly inhibit an androgen receptor?
It covers 100 % of your scalp. I am sure of this. The reason? I have a hair condition where the hair texture is affected by DHT. After taking Propecia, my entire scalp hair texture changed. That means every area of my scalp had a change in texture.
I realize Androcur is considered a feminizing/transsexual drug, but hear me out. What if you took a quarter of a pill, every other day, and monitored your physical side effects. Let's say over a period of 3 months you still did not feel any side effects, but you're sure the drug is lowering...
The test area used in the 5 year propecia study is a one inch diameter circle. Which means the area is (.5^2)(3.14) = .785 square inches. The average density of human hair is 2,200 hairs per square inch. That means the average hair density in the propecia studies was around 2200*.785 = 1,727...
For those of us taking .25 mg of finasteride a day, one 30 pill bottle can last 4 months, so I'm wondering how long one can store Propecia for (months or years at a time)?
Serious answer:
I think it is people who, ironically enough, have more INSENSITIVE androgen receptors. This means that those with highly sensitive androgen receptors who take finasteride will reap the benefits of maintaining their hair, but won't get sides because the loss of DHT won't mean much to...
Right, I agree with you that topical finasteride/dutasteride is probably just systemically absorbed, but I'm just surprised there haven't been any studies to confirm this.
How can this be? These drugs have been out for so long, and no one has thought to make a perfectly logical study to determine if applications of these drugs get absorbed systemically (using blood tests to determine systemic absorption).
