Perhaps it is finasteride still in your system causing the shedding while on dutasteride?
My experience on finasteride was a 6 month shed, I have been off it for like 2 months and I'm still shedding - never shed before finasteride. I've heard a story of a guy in a similar position and dutasteride stopped his shedding.
Well some pain killers are also anti-inflammatories, and what is told is that male pattern baldness is down to the inflammation of the hair follicle.. I know it seems obvious but maybe taking them would ease inflammation on the follicle?
You do have a point. I have read from various sources that dutasteride blocks both types.
If the temporal region is more susceptible to type II this also would explain the increased loss when on finasteride perhaps. finasteride - increased T - increased type II
I have heard that said before, and maybe your right. But it is just difficult to justify to yourself taking this drug when you can see it making the problem worse, the same problem you took it in the first place.
As you can guess from the title I suffer from male pattern baldness at the temples. I recently stopped taking Propecia after sustained shedding and increased thinning of the hairline.
This led me to investigate further. After reading the Propecia study it shows that it didn't examine the results in men with...
I have done a lot of initial research and still a novice on the matter, also started Propecia which lead to exstensive shedding. Deciding on a different approach now. The topical one.
So in your knowledgable opinions what would you say is the most effective Topical anti-androgen?
I'm NW2 receeding at the temples, been on Propecia for 6 months, nothing but shedding from week 2.
Looking at going down the topical route, based on my initial research these look like good starting regimes. So can you advise which I should go for:
Progesterone or RU?
