@rclark I tried topical finasteride. Although not as severe, I noticed some of the same sexual side effects that I had will the finasteride tablet.

Thanks for the comment, Murkey Thumb. That is a concern. I don't know anything about RU or S5 cream but it seems to me that any DHT blocker would have the same side effects as finasteride. My loss is stable in the sense that it's quite slow. Surgeons have told me it would likely be 10 years...

I was on Minoxidil for seven years. Stopped for ten months. I seem to have lost a fair amount of hair. I'm going back on now and I'm wondering if I'll see gains back to my previous level. Anyone have any experience with this?

I'm assuming that the Minoxidil users go off it at the 96 month mark? It's not totally clear from the chart.

That seems wise... But I want my transplant to cover me for the long term. If the hair saved through Rogaine will only last 5-10 more years, maybe it's better to have the doctor take that into account. It could make him more conservative, or it could make him cover more areas.
