Sorry to hear your story. Sounds very similar to mine. I only took the poison 15 days, and didn't crash until about 6 weeks off. 7 months later and nothing has resolved except for sleep problems. I've tried just about everything short of more pharmaceuticals.
I would be careful about taking...
The way it seems for most people is that they either recover within 2 months, or they have problems indefinitely. Who really cares what lies Merck has to feed us?
There are maybe 2 or 3 recovery stories on the propecia help site of people who recovered naturally over an extended period of...
You made an extremely wise decision quitting.
I was a perfectly healthy 28 year old too... doesn't really matter how healthy or young you are. If you're predisposed to PFS you're going to get it. I only took the drug 15 days and my crash didn't happen until I was 6 weeks off, so take that for...
I would not take it at all, but of course I was one of the ones who was permanently screwed by this drug.
Just understand that if you're one of the unlucky ones predisposed to this condition, it won't matter how long you take finasteride. Could be 5 days or 5 years. When you quit, your endocrine...
The vast majority of people seem to quit finasteride without incident. The 2% side effect profile is bunk though. If you're one of the unlucky ones, it doesn't really matter how long you took it... your system will crash within a few days to weeks, and you'll be in permanent hell. My advice would be...
I never understood these guys that are married(assuming this guy is married) and are still worried about losing their hair. Especially the ones in their late 30's, 40s, and up.
Have the baby, skip the finasteride, and have a good life raising a family. This drug isn't worth the risks if you have...
If you're scared, then don't take it. Some people will come on here and tell you there's nothing to worry about, but why take even the slightest risk with your child?
Several guys on propeciahelp have reported the same thing. It's a common sign of a diseased prostate. I've seen a urologist and mentioned it to him, and it doesn't seem to strike a chord.
You should be okay, but I wouldn't dismiss 1500 members at propecia help. It's not like everyone going through this even knows about that site or bothers to sign up for a membership if they do visit it, particularly with the doctors all telling sufferers "it's all your head" or "propecia can't...
Nobody knows why it happens. Some theorize the sudden rush of DHT back into your body does something to permanently alter the endocrine system. The vast majority of men do not seem to experience the crash though. Odds are you'll be OK if you stop, and your sides should resolve over 2-8 weeks...
You didn't have male pattern baldness? Seems to me most docs give finasteride out like candy. My Doctor tried to give finasteride(proscar) to me for my prostatitis symptoms, AFTER I told him about all the crap I went through with propecia. At worst you have to go to a derm to get it.
As for inhouse, I never even paid attention...
