I'll try to keep this short and sweet...
No idea what my norwood is as my pattern is odd - thin (not bald) crown like a less extreme Zinedine Zidane pattern. I buzz it down to a grade 2-3 really and whilst I'd prefer to be able to grow a decent long style I can cope with it buzzed. The dude...
I think in terms of society the UK has it slightly easier as we don't have the whole hollywood side of it. Sure, we have good looking celebrities, but we also tend to root for the underdog and place huge value on things like being funny etc. It's baffling, but lots of ladies seem to think Ross...
The dermatologist I saw said that FUE will still leave a scattered scar and wouldn't recommend keeping it too short, but I suppose it all depends on the surgeon.
And that's the other great potential thing about clipping it short with FUE - beard hair would be ideal. I don't think body hair...
This is EXACTLY what I'm hoping to do. I currently buzz it down very short and am comfortable with this, but can't stand the bald patch, so would like FUE to thinken it up, or even just reduce the overall size of the bald spot or something so it's only noticeable when looking directly above me...
Just double checking...
I've been on finasteride since August, after quitting propecia which I had been on for aroudn a year and a bit, quitting it for 9 months. I then restarted on 2.5mg, but about 4 or 5 weeks ago dropped to 1.25 due to sides which never went away.
I've basically noticed...
The loss is at the crown. The area is more just a large, thin patch, than a particularly 'bald' patch. Though the hairs are still very thin so is as good as.
I've been on generic finasteride, but from a legitimate pharmacy that required a prescription from a dermatologist.
Before then I was...
This sounds quite similar to what I am experiencing. I don't have a bald patch but a large area with much thinner, whispy hair, probably due to minoxidil/finasteride.
I don't intend to fill this area completely because I currently buzz my head and am comfortable with this, and so I don't want scars which...
Re: Reducing finasteride from 2.5-1.25mg (then going back to 2.5)
I'm even considering going back to 2.5 after I feel a bit more stable on 1.25. Back on 1.25 with no sides thus far (touch wood) but my hair feels a bit worse. If I perhaps stuck with 1.25 for a bit, then added the extra 1.25 perhaps...
personally I think the buzzcut looks badass!! I'd love to look like that shaved. Perfect shaped head, still look handsome but not poncey or vain. I'd stick to that!!
Why don't Hasson and Wong due FUE? Do they more concentrate on NW5-6 types and do megasessions?
What's wrong with Bauman? Any links of anything? Spencer Kobren has nothing but good things to say about him.
I doubt I'd need much more than 1500. It's hard to explain - I'll try and get...
I agree with both sides here. You've gotta plan for the future - if hairloss affects you in your twenties it will when you're older too.
BUT, life is too short to sit there waiting for your hairloss to finish and then get a transplant to thicken it up. You could be 40 or 50 when image means...
SAF, is there any sort of good website or article proving how much worse we have it in the UK for surgeons? I'm not questioning your views, I just want concrete proof to show to my parents!!!
Basically, I'm looking to get some FUE done from either Feller or H&W (or possibly Bauman, wanna do a...
Personally I think a bald batch looks much worse than a receding hairline, but that's probably because it's what I'm suffering from! But I suppose bald spots eventually stop whereas hairlines can continue to recede.
I'm hoping to do a bit of work on my crown though. My hairline is fine...
