I don't think finasteride could even slow down my hair loss so I don't think getting off of it will make any difference. I actually did try Revivogen a few years back and did not notice any difference, either. I think I only used it for 3 months so maybe I should try it again for at least a year or...
If Propecia does in fact have an 83% success rate, I guess I'm one of the unfortunate 17%. :sobbing:
Can't believe I've been on this for almost one year already (it's been about 11 months). I shed just as much hair per day as I have before taking Propecia. My scalp also itches just as bad...
Thanks! All the doctor did was prescribe me Propecia (I've been to two dermatologists and both had nothing much to say about hair loss and both prescribed Propecia). I had the feeling that most dermatologists don't know much and don't give a crap about male pattern baldness. Can't really...
Damn, this is what I was hoping to experience. It's been almost 7 months for me on propecia and my scalp (thinning area) itches just as much as it did before I started the medication. I'm afraid this is a sign that finasteride is just not working for me... :sobbing:
NOTHING
This is getting depressing. I still shed the same amount daily as I have been shedding before starting propecia almost 7 months ago. My scalp is also just as irritated/itchy as it was before (Nizoral and T-Gel didn't work for me). This sucks. The only good news for me is that if...
I've been on Propecia for almost 6 months already (can't believe how fast time is flying by!) and my initial plan was to stick with this stuff for at least a year. Man, this past few days I've noticed an increase in shedding (I've had periods of increased shedding way before I took Propecia)...
So it's been a little over 4 months....
Still nothing yet. The only good news is that I haven't experienced any side effects. A couple of weeks ago, it seemed my shedding was starting to decrease, but the past couple of days I started to shed a little more. Scalp is still very itchy, even...
Been on for two months so far.....nada.
Been shedding alot, but as I've said before, I've always had periods of excess shedding so I shouldn't blame the finasteride for this. Scalp is still VERY itchy (as much as it was before starting Propecia). Damn, when is this stuff gonna kick in???? At least...
Okay, it's been about a month since being on Propecia so I thought I'd give a little update. Recently I've been shedding more than normal, but I've had periodic sheds like this way before I ever started on Propecia so I will not blame the drug for this. My scalp still itches like crazy, but...
Been on it for two and a half weeks. So far, I don't really notice anything. I know two weeks is too soon to make a statement, but I was hoping by now at least my scalp would stop itching. No significant sides so far (which is great). I still shed daily as I normally do, but maybe just a...
If this is true about Nizoral/keto, then do you think it would be possible for finasteride to be in a topical form? I plan to take Propecia soon but if I find out there is a topical form of finasteride I would prefer to try that first.
I got this information from reading posts on these boards and also from reading the 5-year Propecia study on this site. I'm glad to hear finasteride has worked for over 5 years for your friend. That sounds very promissing. Well, I guess I'm finally going to give finasteride a shot. I will keep you guys...
Why do people recommend using Nizoral while on Propecia/finasteride ?? If finasteride does in fact reduce DHT, wouldn't that in turn reduce scalp inflammation/itching? If so, why would you need Nizoral??
