Do you have to use this stuff continuously like minoxidil or can you stop at some point?

I am on Minoxidil 5% for 5 months now. Up to now I had pretty much no shedding and a good regrowth. I have really bad shedding since a week or so. I always thought that only before you regrow, your hair sheds... but its the opposite for me... Is this possible / normal? And also I ordered...
