Oxidative stress impedes wnt-signalling in ageing, bone loss

I stumbled on a similar connection some time ago from a different angle (lipid peroxidation): http://www.jbc.org/content/early/2009/08/05/jbc.M109.023572.full.pdf There are only a few very significant systemic differences between bald and non-male pattern baldness people: Higher incidence of Coronary heart...

Topical Cetrizine for Hair Loss instead of Finasteride (Propecia)

Well, I think I'm the culprit that triggered fear by posting this several weeks ago: http://www.gourmetstylewellness.com/interact/showthread.php/66061-Degradation-of-Cetirizine-in-alcohol-vehicles! Since then this information spread to other forums, has been "summarized" (*cough* exaggerated *cough)...

Topical Cetrizine for Hair Loss instead of Finasteride (Propecia)

Easy, first I use CET and let it dry in, then about 15 mins later minoxidil. Again 15 mins later I very lightly apply a Castor/Emu mixture. Two times per day. The rest are shampoos that I cycle on a daily basis.

Topical Cetrizine for Hair Loss instead of Finasteride (Propecia)

I use Castor/Emu now for about one year and yes it has thickened existing hair, but regrowth was only possible with CET.

Topical Cetrizine for Hair Loss instead of Finasteride (Propecia)

Please remember that Cetirizine is one of the best studied drugs out there. The gyno described in the "case"-study was found in children who used adult-equivalent doses. There are rigorous double blinded studies with literally hundreds of children involved, observed for several months/years. I...

Topical Cetrizine for Hair Loss instead of Finasteride (Propecia)

I've never heard of that. I tried to find any Cetirizine <=> Prolactin Connection for about an hour now. No mention about that anywhere especially not on pubmed. Do you have any references? H2 receptor antagonists (used to inhibit gastric secretion) are known to do that, e.g. Cimetidine is...

Degradation of Cetirizine in alcohol vehicles!

In the very same Patent from Pfizer there's actually an example on how NOT to do it, i.e. mixing Cetirizine and Alcohol and measuring what happens after some time ("Example 1"). They created a tablet which consisted of: * Tablet Core 450mg (processed with 90mg Alcohol: Ethanol and Isopropyl...

    Cetirizine and Scalp Inflammation

Hi doragio! As I see it this is a common reaction to applying Cet on the scalp. I even think that the small red circles we can see on casperz photos share the same pathogenesis. I use Cet for 6 weeks now and also occasionally get small bumps on my hairline but you can hardly see them. So what...

    Why Cetirizine may work

(As a new user I cannot post links, so excuse the odd citation references. Google gives you immediate results though.-9 Short summary: * Ceterizine _may_ lower PGD2 levels (only one old study, other studies contradict) * Ceterizine _may_ enhance PGE2 levels (only one study) * Cetirizine...

Topical Cetrizine for Hair Loss instead of Finasteride (Propecia)

@boobyinspector: This was exactly my train of thoughts when I heard the first success stories; Only one study, relatively old mentions a PGD2 reduction. After some research however I think Ceterizine may be effective: Now guess what cetirizine does: I will continue; Two weeks in and...
