^ What Phatalis wrote. The patent suggests we should aim for a solution that is no more than 5% water by weight.
I'm using plain alcohol (Everclear -- 95% ethanol) as my solvent. The patent notes that CB is highly soluble in alcohol but that alcohol "cannot be used alone due to possible...
As others have said, comparing the hair count results from this trial to the results from other studies (e.g., finasteride trials) isn't particularly meaningful. The inclusion and exclusion criteria (e.g., male pattern baldness stage required to participate) and other sample characteristics (e.g., age...
Good analysis. I didn't catch the change of comparison group from baseline to vehicle. Had the comparison group been the same at 6 and 12 months, I would be heartened by the 12-month report, as it appears the differences from 6 to 12 months (including the decline in the 7.5% BID group) could...
You posted clear evidence of purchasing CB from Wuhan and of your message exchanges with them afterward, with appropriate redaction of your name. Why are you withholding the purported test results showing that your CB was bunk?
To address the OP: I'll be using 95% ethanol (Everclear) to dissolve my CB. According to the CB patent, CB is highly soluble in alcohol; however, plain alcohol was not used as a vehicle because of concerns about scalp irritation and abuse of the med through oral consumption (LOL). We'll see how...
Thank you, found it: https://patents.google.com/patent/EP3108879A1
From the patent info, anyway, it seems that ethanol alone may be an okay vehicle if your skin can tolerate it.
Thank you. Do you have a source I could read that goes into this in more detail? And does this mean it's important to apply CB to a very dry scalp? (not after a shower!) Guess I'll be buying some PG and Everclear...
Anyone tried dissolving CB in liquid minoxidil? I realize there's some water in the minoxidil solution, but the data on CB degradation in an aqueous solution weren't that alarming, if I remember correctly.
I know little about acne treatment, and if it's as intractable a problem as you're suggesting (outside of a risky treatment like Accutane), then perhaps we should be impressed by the Winlevi results. I mentioned that the less obvious link to androgens in the case of acne gives me hope that...
The results from the acne trial are pretty underwhelming (compared to the vehicle alone), but I'm guessing acne is less straightforwardly connected to androgens than male pattern baldness is, considering the prevalence of acne in girls and women. Really hope the 12 month data are good!
I have no photos, but the regrowth was definitive, with no other changes to my regimen. For what it's worth, Gang Luo did not respond to emails I sent in the last couple of months, so I'm pretty sure that the aforementioned pharmacy is no longer shipping to the US (which is to say -- I'm not a...
