    finasteride Expiry

Okay I've had some finasteride (that I've never opened) for about 4 months (bought it in March)... is it still okay to take? Does finasteride have an expiry? Thanks in advance.

How much does Rogaine foam cost?

Kind of surprised I couldn't find anything through search about this. I'm in Canada. For the 5% solution. I know it's different everywhere, but even if you live elsewhere, please do share.

General Incidence of Erectile Dysfunction vs. those on finasteride

Yes, the nocebo effect is powerful... After having done so much research on propecia's and people's experiences with it online, I can almost guarantee that Id experience side effects just cause of my mind frame about the drug... except I wouldn't know if it's just me or the actual drug. It's...

General Incidence of Erectile Dysfunction vs. those on finasteride

Okay, since the main concern for most of us who are (or are considering) taking finasteride is impotence/ED, I thought I would search for the incidence of erectile dysfunction in the GENERAL population, for us younger people. Most of the studies I found were studies for men aged 40+ (40% of men 40+...

    Finasteride and Body Hair

I think it could go either way. I've seen people say it's done both and neither. You're reducing your DHT, increasing your testosterone and estrogen (I believe). I think both DHT and testosterone would be responsible for body hair... but not 100% sure of the science of this. Not sure why...

    Finasteride

Well apparently male pattern baldness can start at the temples, then move onto the crown.. so I'd say finasteride is a good method of stabilizing male pattern baldness and keeping it at bay.

    Doctor discusses Finasteride on radio

Yes, like Wuffer said, I'm not on finasteride, but Im experiencing some reduced libido right now. I'm just trying to make a point that psychology can play a role in people's symptoms.

    Doctor discusses Finasteride on radio

True. Just like other drugs, there are risks associated with finasteride, and I do think they are overexaggerated.. the chance of having permanent sides is really low, and I'm not convinced that all those people experiencing permanent sides are actually caused by finasteride. I think psychology has a lot to...

    The Risk

Isn't the proscar study done for prostate cancer? That is, the mean age of the sample is much higher than that of the study done for male pattern baldness with propecia? Hence why the incidence of side effects for the drug (and the placebo) is higher?

    The Risk

The original article is a load of crock, and shows how deceitful media can be. 92% of men do NOT experience long term side effects. It's 92% of the men in the sample of 71 men who experienced symptoms 3 months after discontinuing finasteride use. But with that said, I bought generic proscar a few...

    Considering coming off propecia already

Don't be a fearmongerer. I believe the psychological aspect has a lot to do with the side effects, and that's reinforced in studies (placebo vs. the actual drug). The people experience long term sides are in the minority. Only a couple percent of people experience sides, and of those couple...

    Considering coming off propecia already

I also have to say - it's disappointing that this topic has had 120 views, and only a couple of replies. You'd think people who are dealing with the same issues as yourself (male pattern baldness) would have enough empathy to give you a hand.. I've had the same issue with my topics. Sad.

    Considering coming off propecia already

Can't speak from experience, but Minoxidil will work; it is a growth stimulant only however, and it will not keep your hair growing forever... as it doesn't get to the root of the cause of male pattern baldness (DHT) so to fully combat male pattern baldness, it's a good idea to stick with finasteride. However, if you can't handle the...

    40 days No masturbation challenge!

So according to one of those links, excessive masturbation is more than 2 times a week? Well in that case, I'm screwed. If you want real proof, find an academic journal where controlled tests were actually done to find a relation between DHT levels and masturbation. I don't think I would be...
