Rogaine is 95% ethanol, 5% minoxidil. That's why I switched over to the alcohol-free stuff from Freshman, because the ethanol was drying out my scalp and giving me dandruff.

I recently started using minoxidil from Freshman, they have an alcohol-free formulation. I get dry scalp and dandruff from ethanol and propylene glycol in rogaine, but I don't have the same issue from the the alcohol free one.
