Going Bald In Less Than A Year, Need Advice

One of the first things I noticed when I started thinning, was that my scalp felt really unhealthy, my hair texture changed to almost straw-like, and it became greasy really fast. Just saying that it's very possible that this is a side effect of thinning rather than something he is doing himself.

Going Bald In Less Than A Year, Need Advice

In a way I agree, but: 1. It can take years to figure out a regimen that works for you. Minimum of 6 months to see if something works, I've stopped and started a few different things over the years. 2. It's all contained in one thread 3.This forum isn't that active anyway, without these...

Going Bald In Less Than A Year, Need Advice

Being age related doesn't mean it can't be treated, and that he's not allowed to ask for advice on treating it

Going Bald In Less Than A Year, Need Advice

Honestly I think the ideal treatment is 2.5mg oral minoxidil + 1mg finasteride, take it every night and forget about it. I'm not sure why certain users encouraged you to drop minoxidil, it's almost always a bad idea. And despite what others are saying, yes I do see some thinning - it looks a lot like my hair...

Minoxidil heart muscle ( left ventricle )

I have left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH), and so do several of my colleagues. We all found out because of yearly ECGs at work. It's definitely not rare - and none of us used minoxidil (at that time, I started later) Should mention that we are all young and fit, it's a physical job, hence the...

Oral Loniten (Minoxidil) and Fluid Retention/Edema

First of all you didn't take "high dose loniten", 5mg daily is still what people call "low dose oral minoxidil". I would advise you stop self medicating with everything you find on the internet, you've already demonstrated you have no idea what you're doing (minoxidil once per week? Wtf?) Give...

When can I expect to be above baseline on oral minoxidil

I'm not counting hairs. I just feel that my scalp has the typical itch again and my hair becomes thinner overall.

When can I expect to be above baseline on oral minoxidil

It's hard to say because it varies between individuals, but generally by about the 6 month mark. I had good results in the first 3 months but have dropped back to baseline after increasing my dose to 2.5mg

risk of pericardial effusion with low dosage of oral minoxidil?

What if I told you there's a 0.03% chance of getting pericardial effusion every time you make a post about oral minoxidil?

Increased my oral minoxidil dosage, lost progress?

Hey guys, I've been on 1mg oral minoxidil for 3 months with solid progress - short fuzzy hair was growing in and it looked so much better cosmetically. My doctor recommended increasing to their standard dose of 2.5mg since I had no side effects, which I've been taking for the last month...

American Diet Is it killing your hair?

There's nothing particularly unhealthy about dietary cholesterol or saturated fat, that kind of thinking should stay in the 90s. Eating cholesterol does not raise cholesterol and eating fat does not turn it into bodyfat. And neither of them are going to "raise DHT" after you eat them. Also the...

Aggressive baldness at age 20 - HELP ME PLEASE

Are you on finasteride already? If I were you I'd start finasteride, and low dose oral minoxidil (like 1-2mg). Topical minoxidil isn't always a good idea if your scalp is already itchy
