I've recently started drinking pomegranate juice and pomegranate tea due to their claimed health benefits, but now that I've found out they contain natural estrogen, I am beginning to be concerned that they might possible have some interaction with finasteride or may even cause gynecomastia...

I read that several threads on this forum. If you search or browse around, I'm sure you'll see such claims.

I read on this forum that both healthy and rogaine grown hairs become dependent on rogaine. So when body eventually develops rogaine tolerance, and you stop whether you are on finasteride or not, what can you expect to happen? Can finasteride maintain your hairs when you stop Rogaine or do you need to move on...

Thanks for your opinion. That makes me water little after Rogaine, but like Spencer Korbaine says, I don't think it will be smart to do a kitchen sink approach at least for up to 1st 8 months or so. I also don't like my hairs becoming dependant on Rogaine as what Rogaine loses effectiveness...

Maybe they were attracted to you. Personally, I don't say anything to my bald/balding colleagues about their hair loss unless I know them well enough, and I think most people are that way. Both men and women.

I know, but Finpecia is not yet legal in United States per US patent law as far as I know at least until 12/31/2012.

I believe the patent law that seems to be designed to protect Merck's profit is expiring this year 2013? If I'm not mistaken, is generic propecia now available in US? Or is it in 2014?

That is certainly what I'm hoping for, as I have read on this forum some posters saying they did not shed on propecia.

Almost 3 months with finasteride (proscar quartered). I don't think I'm shedding. At least not yet. Even before finasteride, I wasn't really losing hair, but had thinnings. Anyone have any opinion about how possible it is to make gains w/o shedding? Is it even biologically possible?

I'm afraid you misunderstood. I'm not asking about stopping hairloss. I'm asking about reducing side effects of anti-hairloss medication.

abcdefg, your point is perfectly valid, but I'm asking based on a well respected medical professional's belief that propecia benefits everyone.

It is my understanding that it is Dr. McAndrew's belief that propecia benefit everyone, and it is my understanding Dr. McAndrew takes propecia himself. Then would you say there might be another nutritional supplements that you can try to reduce the sides and shedding?

I am getting white hairs that I try to dye like once every 4 to 5 weeks which I would rather not. Anyone know if there are any other ways to darken naturally dark hairs that going white prematurely?
