Would you make the addition of dutasteride immediately, or should I ride out this tremendous hair loss, hope it's a shed, and continue the 1.25mg proscar to year 2, and add a new shampoo like Alpecin? Then add dutasteride in 6months if i'm still getting killed...? So confusing...

Timi, that's the best thing i heard all day. How long were you on finasteride before switching to dutasteride (propecia or proscar?, and How much dutasteride did you take weekly? How long on dutasteride before you thought it was doing no good and better switch backto finasteride? Any things to watch for in the switch? Thanks.

Thanks, Timi. That chart shows dutasteride as champion without doubt. Adding 0.5mg dutasteride one day after 4 days Proscar sounds like a reasonable approach.
