Let me start by saying that Propecia has worked for me. I started on 2 x 1mg tablets a week in the summer of 2022, before moving up to 3x a week later that year, as recommended by a hair transplant surgeon I was in consultation with. The medication has worked so well that I no longer feel the need for a hair transplant...
Hi guys,
Aside from Bald Cafe, can anyone think of any UK based baldness ‘influencers’ - they don’t have to be explicitly talking about hair loss all the time like BC, but have at least been open about it / talked about it in a reasonably smart way. Can even be someone famous who’s spoken...
Here are some photos of my hair, dry, washed and with no product in it. This is when my hair looks least thin, but hopefully the hair loss is still clear.
I am 32, and have been losing hair for about 5 years now. Sadly, my hair loss has not stabilised; I still experience a few hairs coming out...
Can someone explain to me why Smile Clinic, which, when Googled, comes up with a litany of 5* reviews, as well as having been featured on a BBC show, in which a young man from the UK underwent an FUE operation, has no coverage whatsoever on this forum, or BaldTruth?
Most other clinics seem to...
I suffer from mild seborrheic dermatitis. This is, essentially, dandruff 2.0. It's a result of me having what my girlfriend calls 'combination skin' - i.e oily and dry simultaneously.
Now, at present, this isn't a major issue; I cycle between Nizoral and coal-tar based shampoos, rendering the...
This name has come up once or twice since I joined the forum. I found this thread via a Google search which doesn't do much to inspire confidence: https://www.gourmetstylewellness.com/interact/threads/is-ukhairsystems-com-for-real.94993/
I had them suggested by someone on the forum who seems very...
I’m sure everyone can relate to the panic this guy’s experiencing. I know I was prone to similar exaggeration earlier on in the shedding phase. I still look like I’ve got a lot of hair now but can comfortably say I’ve lost 50% of it. We’re all on this forum because we’re struggling to cope with...
I haven’t really read through the thread but...haven’t black women been wearing this stuff for generations? I don’t believe they’ve ever been marked out as suffering any one disease disproportionately. Devil’s advocate - not trying to negate any previous points.
I was talking overall. I don’t want to take medication because of the side effects, whilst FUT/FUE don’t get good results for the money (imo). Thought this was a god send but I don’t really want to knowingly subject myself to cancer, as determined as I am to fight hair loss...
BB’s answer makes sense but this thread leads me to ask: how does the regrowth of your natural hair (assuming there’s still a fair bit) impact the glue / tape - does it effect the grip at all, after say, 2 weeks, when a CM or so has grown through?
