Ah, so muscle in and of itself doesn't actualyl produce testosterone? And there is no clear consensus that increased testosterone actually increases DHT in the follicles that much?
I was wondering if there was any consensus as to the effect of having alot of muscle and relation to testosterone. Does an additional 10 pounds of muscle increase free testosterone levels by say, 10 % and thereby contribute to baldness?
Doesn't 50 mg androcur basically cause chemical castration? I dunno man, you're planning to forfeit having children in the future (the effects may be irreversible or VERY difficult to reverse)?
It's only really EXTREME baldness when you have females in your family going bald. My mother's hairline is thinning and my grandmother (mother's mother) has somewhat of a crown baldspot.
You say the sides and back look like they're matted down, but are they any coarser/different texture than the rest of your hair? If so, you could just have androgen-sensitivity in your sides/back and that would cause male pattern baldness there.
Did the thin sides and back start only after your Telogen Effluvium episode? Also, do you have any other scalp/hair conditions, possibly a different hair texture caused by a scalp condition?
Wow, that's interesting. Too bad no actual hair counts were taken. Do you have any opinion as to whether large doses like 80 mg would be significantly more powerful in preventing hairloss not just on the crown but in frontal areas?
Anyone? The reason this is interesting to me is that with higher doses hair counts did increase significantly, so could the cure for baldness just be taking ultra-high doses of these medications? How come medical science hasn't dealt with this possibility?
I recall studies being done on the effects of doses of 5 mg finasteride (1 full proscar pill) and 2.5 mg dutasteride (5 dutasteride pills) and their effects on hair loss. These ultra-high doses did increase the hair count, though there was a noticeable "decreasing return to scale". I'm...
Well I thought it was the hair follicle. The reason I said 6 months is because supposedly after stopping Propecia, the baldness returns within 6 months of stopipng the drug, so that's why.
