Those are telogen hairs. This means the hairs were shed through the telogen phase (normal phase where hair sheds). These are the hairs that have stopped growing and will sit in your scalp for 2-3 months as they slowly losen and fall out. The typical person loses 50-100 of these per day, usually...
Here are three pictures I took this morning, two of which have me concerned.
Do these look normal? Is it just the lighting? 6 damn months and I am still dealing with constant anxiety and fear over this...
Okay, good to hear. I will in that case try to put it out of my mind for 3-6 more months to keep monitoring it and make sure it doesn't get any worse. Hopefully getting my anxiety under control in the meantime and just trust the telogen effluvium diagnosis.

About six months ago I started to worry that my hair was thinning and had started to notice...

Best thing you can do is see a dermatologist. Since it is diffuse thinning it could be lots of different things: stress, thyroid issues, a severe vitamin deficiency, or genetic balding. Thus seeing a dermatologist who can do an exam as well as a blood test to check for thyroid/vitamin issues...
I have two new pictures that worry me. I know I should. Just try to relax and trust the dermatologists I saw, but the shedding I experienced before has started to pick uo again and I am getting quite scared again.
Sorry the bother people again, but I keep worrying about the fact I keep finding these thinner hairs among those I am shedding. I have read these could ne signs of early balding, but the dermatologist I saw said to not worry about it. Most of the hairs seem normal thickness, but it is still...
So just a quick update. I went back to the dermatologist who I saw before who did a the scalp biopsy, who then answered some questions and did another quick visual examination. I got them to explain the biopsy results in more detail, which had apparently showed normal numbers of terminal hairs...
