i know this shedding sux, but keep going Started propecia in Sept 2004 and shed like a freaking bastard during monmths 7 & 8. It was really depressing because the first 6 months went really well. However, recently the shedding has decreased and my hair is looking pretty damn good right now...

So I've been on Propecia for 8+ months. After 3 months on it, the shedding decreased, but has since came on strong agin during month 7 & 8. Shedding especially heavy in the front. Has anyone out there been thru this type of cycle on propecia? What are your expereinces? Did the shedding subside...

Same here. 7.5 months on Propecia and I am definitely experiencing an increase in shedding. Nothing to do but wait it out I guess. I'm tempted to started minoxidil but something is telling me to hold off for now. Anyone else out there go thru this at month 7 & 8 and live to tell about it?

Just a thought, but these sexual side effects could possibly be a result of the hairloss and not totally due to finasteride. When I first started to lose my hair I was an emotional wreck...thought my life was over. Now, I've been on the finasteride for 4 months. The shedding has reduced and I'm slowly returning...

How do you know your issues were not a pyschological and/or aging ?

What sort of diagnosis did you get from the other four?

Too bad bro. I wouldn't trust him based on how he relates to his patients. I think a 2nd opinion is defintely in order.

I can't comment on propecia vs proscar. Apparently the same meds, but I say if you have the financial means go for the propeica...which comes out to be about $2 per day! I don't want to be bothered with cutting up the pills, etc. I just passed the three month mark on propecia (and nizoral 2%)...

what's the difference? which one is better to use w/ Propecia and nizoral 2%. THANKS!
