I say go for it mate. I had to stop finasteride a while back because of sides. Been on rogaine Foam since Jan, and starting to see some real results now. Very happy with the way i'm progressing with rogaine alone.

Hey mate, I had to cut down from 1mg to .5gm aswell...my derm told me exactly the same thing. However im comin up to 7 weeks now and i think the shedding had reduced. No regrowth yet, but its probably way to early. Also i have no sides on .5mg. So i dont think there is any harm in you...

I am coming up to 7 weeks of .5mg propecia only. Over the last few days the shedding seems to have slowed down a lot. I hope to get some regrowth/thickning of the hair over the next 3-4months. I think .5mg nearly as effective as 1mg.

Also, as you are getting similar sides to me, i think cutting down to .5mg would be a good idea. But get it checked out by your Doctor anyway.

Since ive been on .5mg no further pains and changes. But as i said previously, the gyno lump is still there, and i suspect it will remain for however long i use propecia.

Doesn't propecia raise test levels aswell?

Yeh developed a lump. Umm after the pain developed, i stopped propecia for a week. The pain went away probably within 4-5days.

Yep i did. Mine started 2months into 1mg propecia. I got it checked out by my Doctor. He said to cut the dose down to .5mg. If the pain was still there he recommended i stop. I'm 6 weeks into .5mg and no sides as yet (touch wood), the paid has gone, but the lump behind my left nipple is still...

I'm the same. 6 Weeks into propecia, i can pull hair from everywhere except the back. Werid. Hope it stops soon.
