Say you lose a hair today due to normal shedding. When will it grow back? I'm thinking about 2-3 weeks (catagen) + 3-4 months (telogen). So about 4 and a half months more or less. Is this correct? Thanks!

Alright, I used to have NO scalp problems before using Nizoral. I stopped using it for 2 weeks due to the intense itch, and I have used it only once a week for two weeks (only 3 minutes on the scalp), and today my scalp itched a bit. (After 6 days of not using it! - It was due tomorrow)...

Nah, thanks. I appreciate my penis. :lol: I use minoxidil, nizoral and Actifol (a saw palmetto topical lotion). I don't want to risk ANY side effects, and much less the potential 20 year from now propecia side effects. Thanks for your imput though. :)

I have used Minoxidil for a few years. I started 2 months ago using Nizoral 2% twice a week, having it on my head for about 4-5 minutes each time. After a month I started to lose hair, I don't know if it was a shed. I endured a month using nizoral and shedding, but one day my head itched SO MUCH...

Same thing happened to me. I shed for 40 days, eventually I stopped using it. After 2 weeks it stopped shedding. I don't know if it would have continued falling if I had continued. I have returned to nix 2% once a week. This is my 2nd week, no falling hairs, dunno if it will return.

I added to my minoxidil regime Nizoral 2% about a month ago and I am experimenting shedding. I don't know if this is good (it works and it will regrow stronger), or bad. Anybody shedded with nizoral and later recovered? Just in case I may go to 1% and see whan happens.

It's pretty tied... Yet the results are in my hands when I shower. ARGHHHH. I don't know if this is normal, maybe I should skip a week showering with Nizoral to see if it would stop? Because maybe it just irritates my skin making hair fall out, (even if I don't notice it very irritated)...
